I get some rise in inflammation when I have not been doing it for awhile. I get wicked stiffness and pain the next day. I have to build up my tolerance again going frequently for smaller periods of time until I am back in the swing of it. It sometimes happens if I walk a lot and am not use to it too. I try to do something every day but sometimes I have to take a day or two off to rest up.
While I agree that there is an initial absence of pain during and after sex…I find I have much more costochronditis the following day so always double up my meloxicam (okayed with my doc) that evening.

Please I’m not trying to be funny . The best thing is sex for pain hands down . I haven’t looked it up but Im sure Im right the Serotonin flowing so many things and feeling relaxed after . Unless she falls asleep on my arm and looks like an Angel so I dont want to wake her but my arm is starting to hurt . I wonder if there could be an invention but I have racked my mind ,well it is worth a little arm pain
You are taliking about swimming, right?

I just enrolled in a water aerobics class that starts Sept 9th - twice a week. Hope it helps !
I hope the water in the pool is heated. Nothing I can imagine would feel worse than a cold dousing.

Smiling???? How about ROTFLMAO?
But seriously, it takes some work and and some practice (which is in and of it self rewarding) BUT it should be no problem, if anything, that part of our lives can be better. Here is a great tutorial (from the UK no less):
If you want to go right to the good parts:
As a whole that sight has some great information (not just sex...............

Well, interesting enough.. I disagree. You have to move your hips a lot, get on your knees (sometimes) and even if you don't you are still using A LOT of muscles, joints, and tendons.
No Lamb I was talking about exercise in a pool not sex......you must be feeling better since your weekend away!
You are soooo funny sometimes!

I'm not sure if this helps my PsA, but it helps my mood. I put on headphones, turn the volume up and listen to songs that cheer me up and give me energy; and I sit outside with my feet up. Sometimes, when my muscles ache I sit in my recliner with my feet up and I roll a rolling pin up my legs to loosen them. I also use a long-handled dry bath brush to do the same. It increases circulation too. (I've had this sh*t a long time, so I've tried lots of strange things!!! ) lol
I am going to our choir practice tonight. First one after summer recess. We will be practicing for our Dec concert. This kind of group singing always gives me a lift. I hear we are going to do some Christmas stuff and some jazzy stuff. Should be awesome.
Great idea. I particular like the bath brush idea - thanks for posting these ideas !

Here is a site with some good ideas: http://www.papaa.org/psychological-aspects-psoriasis
I love my thick wool mattress pad. It’s lovely, soft and cushion-y, and it absorbs moisture so I’m warm, dry and comfortable all night. I use it summer and winter – because it’s absorbent, it keeps me cool in warm weather. Lots of them on the market, here’s one example –

DH simply hates the soft, cushioned surface. LOL, too bad for him.
My memory foam topper is amazing, something I couldn't live without. My husband doesn't like the soft surface either! Still, I told him he got the firm bed he wanted for 12 years, so I get the next 12 of soft bed. Shhh...don't tell him, but I think by the time my 12 years is up, he'll start to have some aches and pains and want the soft surface.

Marietta, that sounds great, I never thought to get one of those. I have pain in my left shoulder, my right hip, and my left artificial hip; so I turn from side to side all night. I've got to get one of those. Thanks.

I had pain in my shoulder and neck for a long time and it was suggested to look into pillows.. I bought this a few weeks ago and I love it! It has a cooling gel side to it too!
I have a memory foam pillow and love it SO MUCH! I also sleep with a wedge pillow. It helps me not turn on my stomach (which was causing hip / back pain).
My kids kept trying to use my new pillow, so I bought each of them a memory foam pillow too. I love that it never compresses like a normal pillow, and always pops back into shape.
