Hi all!
Tis the season for colds and such. And if there's one to catch, you better believe I'm the one to catch it. I thank my suppressed immune system for that! :)
I'm now fighting my second cold in about 2 months. Both colds have gone straight to my lungs. I have a very high tolerance for pain, but when it has anything to do with my chest, I turn into a little baby and whine about it!
Has anyone else had a problem with numerous colds and such? Or does anyone have any advice on how to help prevent them (aside from sanitizer, disinfectant wipes)?
It's going to be a long winter if I have to continue to go through and fight cold after cold.
I try to make sure I have some vitamin C every day. I figure with our overactive immune system being surpresed by the drugs I don't want to take any supplements to "improve" my immune system but vitamin C seems harmless to me. It has to be taken everyday as our bodies do not store it. Good luck, I hope you are done with it for this season!
I wash EVERYTHING with very hot water. Dishes, Clothes, my body (hair too) and My hands get washed so much they are so dry even in the Summer months! I got Pneumonia in March and it took until June to get well. I was on very strong antibiotics and still have trouble with my breathing. I use alot of bleach and lysol to try and keep the germs away. Plus I make my daughters clean their hands often....specially after they come home from being with other children. I pray you can stay well through the Winter months.
Don’t forget to wash your pillows! After any serious infectious cold/flu!
Shutterbug just reminded me- replace toothbrushes or run them through the dishwasher!
Yes, I work in a school. Love kids. Hate that catch everything. It’s just a sinus infection right? No it knocks me on my a$!. I got bronchitis this last bout. I have had doctors not wanting to give me antibiotics, saying its a virus or just allergies. So frustrating. I think I can tell the difference at 48 years old!
I’m sorry. I’m complaining not giving you advice as you had asked for. I have no advice.
