I need to give you guys a little bit history I take care of three elderly people I have a hard time getting around sometimes because of the PSA but am not the cleanest in the world, It is all I can do to keep things picked up on the House is a little cluttered but you know how it goes I have three dogs Chihuahuas and they like to crawl up and sleep with us at night and chief cook and bottle washer for everything with that said I took my first Embril shot on Monday and I had a small boil Dr. lanced it and put a wick in it for a couple of days and ran a culture test on it they came back sensitive to a lot of the antibiotics so he put me on penicillin 500 mg four times a day I got the clear to go ahead and start embril about a week and a half later as I said earlier I took the shot on Monday but I guess all the infection has not left I noticed was a size of a pee went straight to the doctor this is my private doctor I rheumatologists is 47 miles away home that it is coming back I'm still on antibiotics and I need something else so he gave me a big shot of ramacillrn by the time I got home it was the size of a peanut small he also changed me from penicillin to Keflex got up this morning and even more pain in the area I called embril and all they could tell me is the disclaimer that you can go sepsis and that people have died and that was their registered nurse that told us that so going back to my regular MD and asking him for something stronger if this gets any worse I will have to go and check myself in at the hospital problems here is that all the hospitals here are full of the superbugs don't even want to walk in the door. I have too many people depending on me for their daily lives, I'm in a catch 22 since 2010 I've had three major infections one of they had to go in and remove from the inside... wow I am getting depressed I have a really bad case of diabetes also my sugars at this time are rarely under 300 had a psychologist give me Seroquel and it made me super insulin resistance I have to take nearly 500 units of insulin a day, so my immune system is already compromised before the Embril sorry guys I'm on my soapbox today I'm starting to lean toward stopping the Embril

Enbrel likley didn't have anything to do with the mess you have (and it is a mess) I can imagine you are scared/confused out of your wits. You likley haven't had enough Enbrel over enough time (yet) to be the cause. You are right about one thing Don't go anywhere NEAR a hospital.
If by chance you do need IV antibiotics, you can arrange for home infusion. it looks lik eone of those "fanny packs" that were so popular a few years ago. You could put on a flowered shirt wear socks with a pair of sandals and play calypso music pretending you are a Tourist down in St Maarten with Seenie (or my wife dang her) while it pumps away.
However at first chance ask the guy who lanced and wicked your boil what the sam hell he was thinking doing something like that to diabetic??????
