Does it help you Karen with your PsA? How long have you been on it?

I'm on cymbalta ad diclnefac

Hi,
I am taking Cymbalta for nerve and back pain, I am up to 60mg twice a day, it is helping, but there is some unpleasant side effects. It will probably take a long time to ween myself off of them, when the time comes…

Hi there

I have been taking Cymbalta for about 3 years, and I increase or decrease the dose (60-180mg) depending on how uncomfortable the neuropathy is making me at the time. I don't think that it makes any real difference to my pain levels, but it does make a real difference to the amount of nerve irritation (pins & needles, crawling ants, cramping in my toes). Compared to Gabapentin and Epilim, I feel that the side effects are worth putting up with.

I have been doing some reading on the current lawsuits in regard to Cymbalta Discontinuation Syndrome, and does sound a bit like most of those symptoms were the reasons for starting on Cymbalta in the first place... it makes sense to me that, if you stop taking a medication that suppresses those symptoms, then they will come back again!

After being weaned off opiates twice in the last 10 tears (oxycontin and fentanyl) I am now using oral Torodol ( ketorolac) for pain, which I like because it isn't an opiate, and does have an anti inflammatory effect!! Wouldn't it be nice to find a medication that has NO nasty side effects??? *sigh*
