Ok all you veterans out there here is my dilemma. I have only been dx for little over a year so I am still learning. I am feeling great have been for a while but as some of you know I have children. My 16 year old son is feeling puny. Tonight is the night I am suppose to take my shot. Do you take it when a son is sick and you are not. I really want to feel good for the holiday season.
You should be fine taking your shot with your son being sick. There is really only specific instances where you should be concerned. If you have any questions, contact your rheumy’s nurse.

My Rheumy says to take my shot unless I am running a fever over 100 degrees. I do not find I am very immune suppressed on Remicade/Enbrel and mtx. My family has gotten illnesses I do not get.
Take the shot. Unless YOU are sick, and even then fever or being on antibiotics is basically when you skip.
