Hello,
Our family is moving soon (in town) and I'd love to hear from those of you who have moved during flare-ups or with pain. Suggestions? I am usually the one who packs a lot of our things which today at least would not be possible. How do you pace things or work around your illness? We will have professional movers but have usually packed ourselves...now wondering about letting them pack the boxes too.
Thanks!
Lorrie
I moved a number of times before I realized I had PsA though I did notice it got harder and harder I decided it was age. Apparently it was age and PsA! I would hire as much help as I could afford. Remember you will also need to unpack. Good luck with your move.
The last move we did (about 5 years ago), we finally had movers pack everything. I could no longer do the packing, and my husband couldn't do it all himself. It was expensive but well worth it. Unpacking is hard enough once you've moved! I rested up until the move was over, then put my energy into getting the new house in order.
hi :)
last time i moved with my family it was in 2011.i must say that i have a wonderful family: husband and kids. they did the packing and most unpacking. today, almost 2 years after we moved, i am still unpacking and working on things in our home :) don't feel bad, do it slowly. there are still boxes with books and some other things that i am working on, but since this is my house, i don't have to run like crazy, i can take my time. if you are in pain, or you are tired, stop, wait, slow down, do less, tomorrow is another day :)
