Lovely Vacation

Hello ladies and gents!

We got home, a few days ago, from a lovely trip to Florida's beaches. It was relaxing and needed. Some days I wish we had a little beach house so I could walk outside, right into the water. Now we are back home and I am in full flare! Figures huh? I did over do it during the vacation, but it was worth it.

Side note: Got the new flannel sheets and they are working wonders. Love them.

Also did some gardening yesterday. It was necessary. My in laws show up tomorrow. So vacation, flare, and in laws and I am not complaining :)

Have a good day!

Glad you enjoyed your vacation amielynn. How about posting your favourite vacation photo?

That's it - I'm going on holiday, ordering some flannel sheets and inviting the family over. Seems to work for you!

My son's girlfriend lives in Florida .... their dates take a little while to arrange. But unless she invites me over anytime soon, I going to have to make do with the Welsh coast. What's Florida like? Like my fellow Brit Jules, I'd love to see photos. Great to hear you had a good vacation & good to see you back as well. (Damn that flare, may it pass quickly).

Jules, I'll post one soon. I have to upload them from my phone.

Sybil, Haha! Florida is nice. Hot, very hot, but nice. White sandy beaches and blue green water. Not as blue green as the Caribbean though. I've been to Mexico as well and Florida is just as nice. My grandparents live in Pensacola. So we had free board and helped them with some chores around the house. It was nice to see them. I try to make it out there every other year.

That was easy! Here are a few pictures.... My son, me, and my feet relaxing on the beach. Enjoy!

Well that looks the business! It's deserted, paradise! Really nice photos Amielynn, classic one of you ..... I can imagine your grandkids admiring that one.

Yep, Sybil, Florida is great! We've been to Orlando for Disney World (one visit to DW was enough for me) and Clearwater. Funny, Clearwater, MN isn't anything like Clearwater, FL! We found so many fun things to do while in Clearwater and the surrounding area! We took a ferry to Caladesi Island, which was so natural and serene. We had a lot of beach to ourselves because not that many people go to that little island. I want to go back there so bad! That was in April, 2014....or was it 2013? Anyway, it was the first time I ever flew! The white sand is amazing and the water was unreal clear! MN is the land of 10,000 lakes, so we have water everywhere (and lots of mosquitoes)! But our lakes are getting more and more dangerous because of an amoeba that has killed a few young people in MN over the past couple years. They say climate change is causing the average water temperature to rise to dangerous levels that allow the amoeba to thrive. We're going to Cass Lake next week and we'll be wearing nose plugs so nobody gets the water into their sinuses. My son's coworker's daughter was MN's first victim of the amoeba, so my son is very cautious because he's heard so much about this at work.

Wow, amielynn, what a beautiful place to go on holiday. No wonder you try to get there every year.

Hope your flare soon settles with relaxing memories of your holiday.

Thanks for posting :-)

Amielynn, that looks WONDERFUL!! Too bad about the “hangover” … oh well.
Great pictures. Promise me you’ll make the one of you your new profile pick? Huh? Pleeeeeaaaase?

Aw, Seenie... Not a fan of the Tardis? I might... you never know.

Thanks everyone. It was nice. The sun and sand even helped with the P.
