Its just the most weirdest thing of all

that I felt great for almost 3 months, and the last 3 weeks up until yesterday I have felt just absolutely horrible. So much pain, all coming back, all at once, as if I never started taking Simponi. I got depressed, stressed out, stopped exercising for 2 weeks.... this pain, it takes the freaking life out of me and I get so mad. And then I woke up yesterday morning and for no reason at all, I am fine. No pain. I feel happy, I've been busy all day and even took my daughter bowling tonight. I don't really have a point, just wanted to write.

How are you guys doing?

~Angie~

Wow, Angie! PsA certainly takes us on rollercoaster rides!

I've been doing better than I have in years, and this week the weather has been CRAZY (60 yesterday, snow today), I've been fighting off a cold, and I've been doing waaaaaay too much. I've barely been sleeping because of the pain, but my range of motion is getting better (which I think is why I'm overdoing it - I can actually MOVE!!! lol) Tonight I can barely move my legs and am in extreme pain. I spent the second half of my day in my wheelchair. I'm planning on taking 2 tramadol once the kids are in bed and praying that I sleep. I have an important workshop all day tomorrow, have to take dh's car (nearly impossible to get my chair in and out of his car), so I'll be using canes. I hope.

A roller coaster is exactly right. Since I've stared on MTX, along with the Simponi, I've been great, almost no pain, and I actually went to the gym 3 days in a row earlier this week. I'm not doing a whole lot, just walking on the treadmill for a little bit, maybe doing the hand bike if I feel like it (since that's something I did at PT and figure it's safe), sitting in the sauna and taking a shower.

Then yesterday afternoon, bam out of nowhere, I got the super fatigue that makes my legs feel like wet noodles and a huge sap of my energy; last night it was hip and knee pain making sleep almost impossible and I'm exhausted again today. I don't know if it's the cold front coming in, the fact that I did some running around at my customer on Thursday morning (wearing heels, shame on me), or the MTX from last Saturday is wearing off. I'm hoping it's the MTX wearing off, that it hasn't fully built up and that by Sunday I'll be good again.

Not sure when you have your next rheumy appointment, but when I told her that Simponi wasn't holding me (but it wasn't as bad for me as it sounds like it is for you), she gave the option of switching to a different biologic or adding the MTX. Since I'm such a baby and want to avoid shots every week or every other week, I chose the MTX. But you may want to look at the other biologics and let her know if you'd prefer to try a change.

I hope it gets better for you soon.
