I have been really struggling with hip pain. My right hip frels like its on fire
My question is there any trick, exercise to help?
I am on predisone, and Simponi. I went gluten free 2 weeks ago. Just had my injection yesterday, I was so hoping to feel better today. I cant sleep, cant stand for to long, or even sit normally. I have been taking a short walk each day, which seems to help a little…
any suggetions?
Ice the SI's or try a tens to start. Lay on your back and make a snow angel (slowly) then try pulling your knee towards your chest and flex it out. You won't get much movement to begin with, but it will come, The latter has certain other advantages if you can do both knees.....
Don't try this with out icing (or tens) the spasm will not be a good thing.
If you can't do the above get a jump rope or better a bicycle tube sit on a chair, hold on to the tube towards you chest and push out and down like you are riding a bike.
You can also put a rolled up wash rag under the uneffected butt cheek right on the bone sit spot and sit on a hard chair. It will take the prerssure off. if you atre ample in the part of anatomy it may take a hand towel.
Hi, I frequently have pain in my right hip too and besides the meds there are a few things that help. for me, its switching positions frequently, using some of the medicated patches like salonpas, and when im laying down I put a small pillow between my legs/knees and that feels like it takes some of the pressure off of my hip. being as active as possible and walking help me too.
Thanks for the suggestions. And thankfully a wash rag should do it… lol
I get pain in my hips quite badly as well. I find stretching morning and night help, as well as walking as much as you can manage. I'm seeing a physiotherapist who is having me do pilates to help strengthen various muscles to help with my hip/back/knee pain, maybe that something you could consider if you are able?
