Help! I'm so miserable!

Hi. I am new to this and havent really figured out how to get around on here yet....but does anyone experience a lot of pain in their knees, hips, or bottoms of their feet? Ugghh...it's horrendous and hoping to get some more answers at the Dr today. I was just diagnosed a couple months ago but so far none of the meds are working. I have such a hard time walking, after sitting for a little bit...I wake up during the night and just ache all over and hurts to roll over....Any suggestions for pain relief? They couldnt increase my dose of medicine last month, because my liver levels were high. And feedback would be great!

Welcome to the club Amy, I had issues with my feet, hips and rolling in bed as you described. I suffered with it for months before being diagnosed. Pills seem to take time to work but there are little things you can do too. If you feet hurt you can use a cane or crutches to get around. Ice and/or heat can help, I like to take hot baths when I'm aching. I talked to my young kids and had them help me out when I couldn't get up off the couch. The best advice is that you'll have to take it easy for a while.

Oh, and that sock that 2Trees is referring to is called a Night splint. I got one for my PF and it helped alot. I bought it for around $40.

Thank you both for all your help and info. I did go to the Dr today and checking my liver levels again and will find out tomorrow if I can up my meds o Methatrexate or if I have to switch to something else...also changed my inflammation meds to something else. I also have kids, 3 of them....10, 7 and 4 and it's just so hard to not be able to play with them how I used to...kickball, etc....My Dr, said once we get it under control, I should be able to do that stuff again but until then, it's such a hard adjustment. And I definately will have to check out that book!

Hi and welcome. I have had psa 15 years. I have had my hips and knees injected a couple times and it has helped break the pain cycle. Do you have access to a pool? Just being in water and getting gravity off our joints can help. And ice packs are your friend. An as much as I hate it, I do mild stretching and exercise it helps some days. Please stay in touch. Hope you feel better soon.
