Hi from an old newbie 😊

Hi all, I’m what you’d call an old newbie! I first Joined around 5 years ago when first diagnosed, desperate for answers and support. This forum helped me more than I can descibe, literally saved my sanity, my life, partly through setting me on the right track for medication success, and partly through unique emotional support (some of which was flat out ‘tough love’ - “if you don’t use it, it rusts” turns out that grizzly old dude was right…). I spent some time trying to give back as I slowly got better… then had some unrelated personal issues that took me away for a year or two.

Now, I’m back! I’d describe myself about as close to the “R” word (yes, remission) as any of us can expect. There are a few ‘oldies’ around here who can testify how big a change and journey that has been for me.

I’m proud to be a part of the community, and hope you all get as much out of it as me :grin:

Hi Jen, not sure we met but sounds like you and I have lots in common regarding our unwillingness to take meds at first? I joined the group almost 3 years ago and have been on Enbrel 2.5 years now–thanks to a giant push from the Mods! Actually, maybe you were active when I joined, it seems so long ago now!

Yes Grandma J, I was around before and you sure met me (though I was never shy on the meds - just a big believer in doing ALL that is available, including taking responsibility for the physical and mental aspects we can control).

Despite my almost remission (I swear half of that is Humira, and the other half is a state of mind), I still have plenty of questions, and I’m again in the best place to start!

I never did learn how to use this new site…I usually just click on my profile circle pic or the “latest” tab and see what’s highlighted…I’m probably missing a ton of stuff…I think you were minus the 75 back in the day, am I right, Jen???

I’m pretty sure that everything shows up on the latest tab… you could also try new there they disappear when you’ve read the topic.
