XTRAC laser therapy

Its been so long since the P was a problem I had forgotten about it. BUT its taken over my whole right foot. The Dermy and the Rheumie are fighting over my Humira. I called an end to it and said The Arthritis is first so we will continue to ride the Humira Horse for a while. So they want me to do these high falutin (and expensive) laser treatments.

Personally I think some time on a beach would somehow manage to soak in some 308-nm wavelengths, but the insurance won’t pay for it so laser it is despite some bad memories of lasers I’ll try it. (my room mate and I tried to build a ruby laser on the QT in the attic of the Gonzaga Physics lab back in 71 that didn’t exactly work like a pointer… we wanted to drill a hole in a cast iron frying pan for some reason.)

Its never a good idea to have the Dean know you by name…He was the most unreasonable man I ever met. we had the fire out before the fire dept got there it did minimal damage and it was not our fault that there was only one power pole and one transformer serving the entire campus (I admit we did add perhaps one too many capacitors to our power source causing a small power surge to the power company’s transformer and blacked out the entire campus, but it was purely an an accident and small math error) He wouldn’t even consider the fact that the Ruby ring we borrowed from Pounders Jewelry to concentrate our light source was really (unknown to us) a garnet or we would never have over powered the device. We really could have used a geologist but @Jen75 wasn’t even born yet (let alone her parents having met)

Anyway anyone have any experience with it (Xtrac Laser)? The numbers look really good.

I’d say it served you right for “borrowing” it! And yes, whilst I don’t know much about lasers, I suspect that if you are using something with the wrong refractive index all he’ll can break loose.

Hopefully the guys with the Xtrac are a little less experimental…

A cruise is the best place to get exactly the wavelength you need. Treatment effect is enhanced by fancy drinks with umbrellas. Besides staying hydrated is very important. (@Jen75 knows all about hydration)

Despite a couple of good summers at home, plus a holiday in Greece a few years back when the P was really bad, I haven’t found that sun does anything at all for my skin. I think it makes my psoriasis a little worse if anything. So if it was me I’d probably opt for the laser, anything’s worth a try.

I guess the sun works for some of us & not others.
