We're going across the board on this one: What type, brand, era, genre of music do you listen to when you're looking for comfort? No right or wrong answers here, just what suits you.
Podcasts. They keep my mind of things better than anything when I'm feeling miserable.
i dont listen to music that much anymore. i do meditation, self hypnosis, and ASMR to help with pain and sleeping. My hearing is bad(tinnitus).
I like to listen to Contemporary Christian or instrumental like Kenny G or Benidkt he is really good with a violin :)
I cant be without music…I love classical if I’m in a slow tranquil mood moonlight sonata being a particular favourite along with 4 seasons. Rock is an all time favourite, lifting me up if I’m low
As a Christian, I always turn to Christian music. It NEVER fails me.
Love me some Reggae for a pick me up. Reminds me of my happy place!
Grateful dead, bob marley,.....
I'm definitely a classical girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYTfnYHXQpA Does life get much better than this?
In the car, though, I'm with Sherm and carle38. Grateful Dead, Bob Marley or Peter Tosh, old Dylan, or Leonard Cohen gets me down the road.
Wow! I gotta check that one Benedikt out! Thanks for sharing.

I listen to Contemporary Christian a lot, too. Check out Jia Peng Fang for relaxing music. It's the kind of asian music my masseuse used to play during my massages. I like anything Caribbean for sunny days, although that makes me feel like traveling...lol
