I can't get through the night without waking up to take more Lortab so my doc prescribed gabapentin- 1 300mg capsule before bed. She didn't want to prescribe another opioid because we are hopeful that the Remicaide starts working soon. It was calming but not sedating- it was very mild and it did help with the pain just a little. What I was most interested in was if was going to last all night and help me sleep- it did. However, I struggled to wake up and get going this morning- a huge no no in my life.
What is your experience with gabapentin? How long does it last?
