The New Normal

I am sure everyone has this same feeling. The same voice in your head saying “I used to be able to do this!” or “ugh – this didn’t used to hurt!”.
Dealing with the onset of PSA nearly 14 years ago, after a destructive relationship and stressed out job, was one of the hardest things I ever had to deal with. Walking like an 80 year old man at 42 years old, was bad but when I couldn’t play my guitar anymore, I knew I needed help.
After the 2 months of ruling out everything else and then being diagnosed with PSA, I started to realize that my life had changed as I knew it. Over the next decade and as my “journey” with this illness progressed, I realized that I had to try to find and ACCEPT the new NORMAL. Things were not going to be like they used to be and the sooner I grew to understand my limitations, the better I would be able cope and live a “happy” life.

I’m sure you all know what I am talking about…

Hi – my name is Scott.
