I have noticed that my taste has gone wacko. Example: when I eat ice cream, I taste a lot of saltiness! Is it the PsA, or medication? Wish me luck, my surgery is July 6th! Say goodbye to the bladder, prostate,and pelvic lympnodes! Prognosis is very good! Thanks again for the love.
I recently read that our taste buds are regenerated every ten days and are controlled by our genes influencing their relative sensitivity. The taste receptors malfunction when you get abnormal continuous infections, such as sinusitis, that overload the system. Seems likely to me, then, that medication might have the same effect.

All the best, ToP. You’re in our thoughts. As for the taste buds … yes, mine went a bit silly when I first started MTX. I had a taste that I described as “dirty penny” in my mouth for several days. That eventually passed. Weird stuff.

I've only recently returned here but I did lurk and I read all your posts. I've been wishing & wishing you all the best but haven't been able to say it .... so good luck to you, I guess it'll be quite a process recovering and adapting but I hope you come out the other side feeling a whole lot better.
