I have just been started on injectable form of MTX today and I am due for Enbrel injection. I was not on pill form of MTX before this. How do you do it? I figure one day of yuck is better than two?!! Thx for any input.
I am on the pill form of MTX and take my pills on Wednesday night. When I began the Enbrel, my doctor said not to take both of them on the same day, and that even a couple of days between was better. So now I still take the MTX on Wednesday and the Enbrel injection on Friday nights. I'm not sure why they aren't to be taken on the same day, but I didn't want to find out!
Thanks so much for your experience. I ended up doing both injections the same evening. I did have a lot of GI problems the next day, so not sure if I will do this again next week!! Can’t find a definitive yes or no for the injectable MTX plus a bio. Still searching…
I take MTX injection in the am on Wednesdays and Enbrel injection sometime in the afternoon or evening of the same day. This makes it easy for me to travel over weekends, and I haven’t had any issues.
