I historically have taken my mtx and Humira on different days and have done fine. Just the way it worked out and I just kept to the same schedule. I recently had to travel and had to delay my Humira injection and just so happened to come home the day I traditionally take my mtx. So I figured here is a good opportunity to see how it goes taking them all on the same day. Well it may just be me, but I seemed to pay dearly for making that decision. I was not feeling well at all for about 4 days after. I am wondering what others that do or have taken such meds on the same day have experienced, good or bad? Thanks
I have taken Enbrel and mtx and Simponi and mtx on the same days. I thought it was hard on me so I split the days up. I do think it was easier to recover though once I had been on mtx for a year or more I really had no side effects. Now I am on Remicade and have 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the dose were I do not feel good. I do not inject the mtx the same day.
I am a frequent traveler for work. I was on mtx for about 6 months before I started Humira. For me it was easier to schedule my meds on the same day, plus I am generally home on Saturday. The first few times I took them together I did not feel well for a few days. However, now I really don't have any problems other than an occasional Saturday afternoon headache and sometimes a little tiredness on Saturday afternoon/evening. I've been taking both together for about 6 months now.
Thank you for your input Michael. I think I was just surprised at how hard it hit me and I was curious if anyone else experienced a similar reaction.. I guess I wasn't expecting the side effects the way they came. I may go back to breaking them up, thank you again.

MAT, I appreciate your thoughts. You say that the side effects lasted only a few times and then you started doing better, nice. As I was telling Michael I was thinking of splitting them up again, but it sure would be nice to take them the same time and be done with it. It really helps hearing other's inputs and their experiences. Thank you, I guess I have a few days to decide what to do. Thanks again
