I think I have read that some people use shower filters and this helps them. I have the Psoriasis rash several usual places now and my son has psoriasis on his head. I was wondering if anyone could share more information here about shower filters. Where they bought it. What brand they like the the best and so on. How have the results been for you?
I quite accidentally found out that a shower filter helped my scalp psoriasis. We needed to replace our shower head, and a friend offered a new-in-package one she discovered while cleaning out her basement. It included a filter. A few weeks after installing it, I discovered my scalp psoriasis wasn't as bad, and eventually it was gone. As goes in my household with five kids who aren't necessarily delicate with things, several months later one of the kids broke the shower head and we had to replace it. This time, I picked up whatever was on sale at the store and within a couple weeks, my scalp psoriasis was back. For me, it made a difference. We tend to have higher chlorine levels in our water where we live, so I think that has a lot to do with it. It may depend on what's in your water.
Hi Nym. We do have a high chlorine content in our water here too. I can especially smell it bad in the summer time. Did you get yourself a new shower head and filter that helped you again with your psoriasis head rash?? Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate you.
Yes, I ended up going out and getting a filtered shower head and it works wonders!
