Hi Sue,

I've been taking methotrexate for years and have dry mouth. My dentist recommended using dry mouth products to help. I have good sucess with Biotene Dry Mouth spray and Act Dry Mouthwash. Hope this helps for you, too!

Anne,

Thanks for the tip. I will pick them up today!

I always have the “med breath” , and i know it is yucky tasting for me . Humira ,pain meds, muscle relaxers, and Methotrexate. For me i found the methotrexate nausea , absolutely unbearable ,lost 23 lbs in 2 months trying to “give it a shot”. Was up to the maximum amount , and if Metho is a minor cancer drug then i feel so bad for the people i chemotherapy. I can understand why they seek nausea calming medicine i.e. (medical marijuana). It really helps when the pain meds ,or humira make me nauseous

Yes! Started Methotrexte last week and had a dry throat for four days - to the extent that my voice sounded really quite different. My voice went back to normal for the last couple of days. I take my second dose today so will see if the same thing happens. I'll have to live with dry throat if it continues to happen.

I also had a really odd metallic taste for the same four days. All food tastes odd. Even a glass of water tasted horrible!
