What a head of hair! She is beautiful. Glad you are planning a ‘chat’ once she is better; preeclampsia and hellp are freaking scary. Glad Kim is extubated. Now begins the next phase. You are all still in my prayers and my ladies group at church as well. Hope you come down gently off the caffeine! Lol. Keep us updated as you can.
Michael, that is awesome.

I don't know if I have told you or not Lamb but I knit prayer shawls. I do it at night while watching tv. It keeps my fingers supple and I give them to people with serious illness or grief. While I am knitting I say prayers for the person receiving it and for others. Right now I am doing one for a new mother (or she will be in November!) who loves turquoise so it is in shades of turquoise. Sometimes I choose the color by the recipient's diagnosis (who knew so many diseases have a color!) or by their birth month or favorite color if I am given that information. I also say prayers in different languages and religions if it is appropriate for the recipient. I recently did one for a Vietnamese woman and learned a lot of Buddhist prayers. I know our good lord knows them all and I am learning lots! Right now I have been praying for a Ranger named Jacob who was was near death, needed many transfusions but recently was transferred to a bigger trauma center in Chicago and is doing better. I have added Kim and Penelope (and you if I must tell!) to my nightly prayers. I love that my prayers get knitted in with each stitch and later as the person is using it they are released again.
Praise God for the miracle of new life and for saving your baby's life! I hope both little ladies continue a speedy recovery!
Hi lamb, I just dropped in to see how your girls are? Hope they continue to recover and grow stronger! You have had prayers from all over the world for them, how wonderful is that!
Wishing all well,
SK
Its pretty cool Sue. Thank you all
BTW in way of an update, Kim and Penelope went home finally last night. I'm darn proud of my daughter. Kim set a goal of nursing this baby which given the circumstances and amount of meds run through her body was lofty goal (IMO) It took over a week for her milk to come in, and the pain to pump every few hours was incredible, especially as she was determined to have no pain meds... (As you ladies know it really goes after the ab muscles and after a C section its worse) She got the job done!!
Kim just called. Penelope has two teeth coming in. Ones already erupted.
Sometimes all you can do in life is laugh.

Hallelujah! Hope they both continue to thrive, and that the teeth don't cause problems nursing!
Praising God for His tender mercies and healing powers. Great news about Kim and Penelope doing so well. When it comes to our babies; Moms can do some phenomenal things. Prayers for continued healing and strength for them.
Hi Lamb, I've been offline for weeks and was glad to see when I returned that your daughter is doing well. I'm sure it has been a rough month for all of you.
Congratulations on your grandaughter. Will pray for you, your daughter and the baby.
Wow - thanks for sharing the wonderful news. Does your daughter know that there are many meds that are safe to take while breastfeeding? She shouldn't have to be in pain while establishing a breastfeeding relationship. I have the "Medications and Mothers Milk" book by Dr. Hale and can look things up if ever anyone is in need. :) I wish both of them well. Congrats again on your new granddaughter!!!
She’s beautiful!! Congrats!
Guess whos here!!!!!
Thanks for the update and glad everyone is well !
Oh, wow!!! Thanks for the update - what a cutie!!!
They both look great! The baby is super-cute. I think she looks like grandpa. LOL
They are beautiful! Glad they are doing well, lamb!
May the peace of God be with you and all your family.
Beautiful!!!
Lovely picture lamb
Bright eyes and bushy tails all around, it looks. Glad to see that the life-force prevailed and they both apparently recovered beautifully.
