Mobic & Diclofenac have no effect - any other anti-inflammatory I can should try?

Hi, Mobic and Diclofenac have no effect on my inflammation, so I'm going to ask my doc for a new script. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

thanks for your help !

Frances

I was on Diclofenac and Celebrex. I am back on Aleve or it's generic naproxen 2 in the morning and 2 at might or to equal the prescription strength of 500 mg AM and PM. I find it works the best for me. I take it with Tylenol 1000 mg.

thanks Michael. So, you found the Aleve is better the prescription anti inflammatories?

Hi Frances,

I am currently on prednisone, celebrex and plaquenil for my PsA and other than the mouth ulsers/canker sores I have no other side effects and the best part is, its the best I have felt in years, not painfree but extremely manageable and can get through my days work more easily and can even go to the gym after working a 8-9 hour shift. I hope you find the right combo that works for you. Take care and wishing you all the best

Judy

Yes, Frances, Aleve or naproxyn seems to work the best for me. I take it with Tylenol for added pain relief. Though I do have Vicodin if it is too awful I do try to avoid it. Naproxyn use to be prescription at the 500 mg strength. When Aleve came out it is a 220 mg strength. It is cheapest for me to buy OTC (over the counter) at Costco or Wallmart and take 2 at a time twice a day.

Thanks for the advice

Thanks Michael. I'll try it until I see my rheumy on April 24th and see how it works.
