Miserable today stomach very swollen, severe fatigue, red rash on wrist

I am thinking of you and praying you are getting better!! And the swelling and pain are getting better!!

thank you. I don't know what is going on with me. I am reacting to a steroid injection or something. Very swollen and have gained lots of weight. I have what they call a moon face. My face couldn't be anymore swollen. have never reacted like this. Tomorrow I have to have an EEG just to rule out seizures. I know I have not had one. Thursday I go to the family doctor. My piriformis doesn't hurt at all but these side effects are terrible. My stomach is huge and face/neck huge. My ankles are very swollen. I am drinking dandy blend. I like the taste of it and it is suppose to be a natural diuretic. Maybe the family doctor will figure out what is wrong with me. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers very much.

Lifting you in prayer!!! I hope this turns out to be nothing, my mom is on steroids and gets moon face and swells up. I pray that all of these side effects start going away!! Along time ago I took a medication that gave me Stevens-Johnson syndrome it was very scary because nothing could reverse the medication that started this in motion I had to wait it out!! I do understand how scary waiting something out can be!! I did panic that didn’t change the outcome, it was the old waiting game that did the trick. Blessings to you as you wait!!

Stevens johnson would be scary. The hospital er doctor was talking about side effects of meds. He said he saw some scary stuff. My son said I don't look as bad as I think I do. I don't even look like myself. I don't think the pain relief is worth it. To beat all the piriformis pain is coming back. I didn't expect moon face. Had never even heard of it. It looks terrible. lol.

Just wanted to update and say that things are better now. It was just a reaction to steroids. Thankfully it is over with now. I will know to expect this next time. I have had several steroid injections with no reaction but this time he said he used more of the steroid. The injection worked really well. My piriformis is not hurting. I had a couple of days that it was sore but I was also constipated. Constipation causes my sciatic nerve to hurt. There is a problem with my bile duct (nothing major) which could be part of the reason my stomach gets upset and bloated so much. I am bad about not remembering if I have taken my meds or not. Tonight I'm going to put them in a pill organizer so I will know if I have taken them or not. The rheum told me that I have to faithfully take the medications. I'm sure me missing doses has caused my PsA to flare sometimes. I didn't intentionally not take my meds faithfully. There were just times that I wasn't sure if I had taken them.

Today I asked the rheum about Cymbalta. Previously I had taken sertraline. We also discussed my insomnia. I had been on Trazodone but wasn't taking enough of it. 100 mg worked for a long time but now I need to increase it to 150 mg. I'm going to get serious about my diet, exercise, etc. I really want to get as healthy as possible. There are so many things I need to get done at home but I will have to do it as I can.

Thank you all for helping me through so many situations while I learn to live with this disease. I am still very new to this having only been in treatment since October.
