Hello everyone, I know this is a subject talked about a lot but I'm sure we can always learn more everyday. I am now taking my methotrexate weekly starting 2 weeks ago. By the next day I have flu like symptoms lasting a few days. Has anyone else experienced this?
yes it is a typical response. I used to take gravol 15 minutes before the tablets and took them at bedtime. Injectable is far easier to tolerate.Tthe flu like symptoms do wear off after a few months. For me MTX started working in 4 weeks and after 3 months I was on injectable because I was getting mouth sores all the time. Injectable is easier on your liver too. good luck
