I have been on Humira since last March..or so....it worked beautifully until this summer....I started having more "break thru" flares of the PsA.....the pain has been increasing in the number of joints and level of pain steadily for the last few weeks. Stress is high but I'm wondering if the Humira is just not working any more.....the Psoriasis is back as well....not as bad yet but it's there.
Is this the new "Normal"?? Do I just need to put my big girl panties on and deal?? I'm just so tired of hurting and not being able to hold onto things and lift a gallon of milk for Petes sake!
If you’re going through a high stress period, it may be a matter of waiting it out. But that doesn’t mean doing nothing. Talk to your doctor about your concerns, stay active, and find what helps relieve stress. At the minimum, you will be able to cope better. Taking an active role can make a real difference. I hope you get some relief soon.
From my experience and much of what I've read of others' the "new normal" is a moving target. If stress worsens you, if winter does also (assuming you're in the northern hemisphere!) this may be part of the package, although you say you started feeling worse over the summer. Is it better than your worst was pre-Humira?
It may be, too, that Humira is good but not great for you. Something to discuss with your doctor.
