Hey everyone!
This semester has caught up with me, especially considering I’ve been battling some extreme fatigue. My visit to Vancouver for spring break was nice, and I got to see my Rheumy and my family doc. My rheumy put me back on naproxen, and is keeping me on humira for now. I am kind of annoyed, but I guess I will have to wait and see if that helps. He also sent me for a CT scan on my neck. I am pretty happy I went for that, I so need something to help with it. I think I’ve mentioned before I had a bone disease when I was 10 that ate away most of my C5 vertabrae. Whether it’s that, arthritis or a combo that’s keeping me from relief, I need a fix!
My family doc visit was good too. She apparently didn’t get my thyroid tests from the clinic here, so I went while I was there. Turns out my thyroid has slowed down more, so she bumped up my Synthroid dose. Also she said I was “extremely iron deficient”. No wonder I’ve been so tired! I’ve been like a sloth lately!LOL
The rest of my trip was good too… I promise the doctor visits weren’t the best part. The weather was really nice and we did lots of walking, and visiting friends.
I’ve been trying to exercise more, and eat better. I’ve cut down on a lot of carbs and starches. Not so much for arthritis but for my ibs.
I avoid wheat at home but ate it on my trip. I’m really wondering if I’m celiac, because, man oh man does it ever rot my gut out. My tummy swells to look like Im a good 6 months pregnant, and I have to sleep in a separate room after I eat it because I’m so foul, (I know TMI). The only thing is I’ve never been tested, and to be tested, I have to eat gluten.
Well that’s all for now, it’s late and I should be in bed.
I know I need to post more to this site, I do read more than I write. I’m usually lurking every so often.
