Hello

I was just diagnosed with PsA and hypermobility on Sept 28 of this year. I have been dealing with swollen feet and ankles on and off since I had sprained both of them a couple of years ago. My rheumatologist has had me on prednisone 15mg since Sept 19 to try and get my inflammation under control. Almost all of the swelling has gone down in my feet and ankles but I still have a sharp pain in my left ankle when trying to walk. As far as skin issues go I have major itchy skin from my neck to my decollate. There are no rashes or raised patches of skin, thank goodness. I have been treating that with an over the counter anti-itch spray which seems to work better than the steroid cream that was prescribed to me. So now I am just waiting for my follow up appt. in Nov to see where my doc wants to go next as far as treatment goes. She did mention specialized PT for the hypermobility. But as far as medication goes, I am not sure.

welcome! Glad to "meet" you, and hope things go well with PT!

Hi Lea22!

Glad you're here on the site. You may want to ask a specific question on the general discussion board about PT. There are many folks who follow a good PT regimen who may be able to help you and/or answer questions. Hope you get some relief for your neck. I've been avoiding using a topical steroid for a couple of patches on my arms and instead opted for a quick 20 day tapered does of prednisone. It might be something to consider if you think you're just going through a flare. See you around the site!

Hi Janeatiu,
