I have dactylitis of my 2nd toe, left foot which is also the foot i have now fractured twice in 5mths.In May I fractured the anterior process of the calcaneus and have now (5 days ago) sustained an avulsion fracture to the same foot. I was only discharged from Physio last week despite me saying that my ankle/foot was still weak and wobbly - their reason was that I had full ROM.
48hrs after this fracture and my PsA inevitably flared up again and I'm not sure which hurts most! Sadly i can now add my jaw to the list of joints that hurt (new joint involvement).
I am wondering whether the fractures are PsA related in some way? maybe due to tight/thickened tendons? or poor balance due to fusion of my toe joint? Any thoughts?
I dont know how helpful I can be here. I too fractured my foot while casually walking. Never had this problem until plantar fasciitis became a part of my life. My bone scan wasn't awful, so I don't know what's up. There my be something to that statement about PsA being related to fractures of the feet. Hope you find some relief soon!
