Bruising on fingers

Does anybody else have issues with bruising? I’ve always bruised easily, but lately I’ve been getting bruises on my fingers. Specifically. Specifically. I’m not having any injury, it’s like blood vessels just suddenly break in my fingers. Typically on the pad side. Obviously it hurts when it happens and then it’s just a bit tender because there’s a bruise there.

Yes I have gotten that. It all to do with inflammation along the tendon. Very PsA sadly. I got all through the palm of one hand back in the day where my disease activity was less controlled than it is now.

Never thought of that but that makes so much sense! And it certainly could explain why it happens with no injury. Yes, my disease control is not fabulous at the moment

Wow, add that to the list. I get that too - so random. I often feel it when it happens, mild pain. It’s like the bruise just ‘blooms’, spreading out. At least hand/finger bruises don’t always last too long.

Exactly! That’s a great way to explain it

So glad you’ve mentioned this as I get it too and wondered what it was. On the finger joints-looks purple and painful to touch

Yes, my toes and fingers develop really dark bruises almost at random - there’s never an associated external injury at all. PsA, the gift that keeps on giving.

I get them on my chest and forearms. I have a rectangular beauty right now that’s about 1 by 1/2 inches. Usually round, sometimes a scattering, sometimes more concentrated. Like many things PsA, I’m comforted that this group knows!
