Blepharitis anyone got any success stories?

Recently had eyes checked and got told I have posterior Blepharitis, poor quality tears from Meibomian Gland Dysfunction.GREAT!! at least I have an answer for my always red, watery, teary, light sensitive blurry vision etc etc.

Have been putting up with it for goodness knows how many years, just thinking I had sensitive eyes .

So have been on cortisone eye drops, lid washes and the like, with only minimal improvement.

Can't think of many parts of me that are not being impacted by this disease, which sucks.

Anyone have any advice?

Try to add in warm compresses once or twice a day. That can make a big difference. Also, if your eyes are dry at night you can use a night time gel.

Ouch, you may well find that as you get your PsA under control, these related symptoms improve as well. Meanwhile, take the advice of your eye doc and whatever other remedies you can find. Stoney's hints sound pretty good to me!

I suffer only from dry eyes, but there are times when I wake up in the morning and it feels like I can't even open my eyes. Thank goodness for some good OTC eye drops!

PS I assume that you've already seen our "Eyes" article.

Thanks Seenie. That is what I'm hoping for,an improvement when the PsA is under control.Meanwhile I am adding to my sunglass collection !!

Exactly. After I wrote and posted that, I realized that my eyes have been really pretty good for the last month or so. And that coincides nicely with my thinking that Humira is getting traction.
