And I thought I was just putting on weight

My pants were hard to get over my hips today. I put it down to too many Cadbury Mini Eggs. My hips burned all night long and it was tough to get going this morning. Even walking was painful. It wasn't until I got to work that I figured out that I must be massively inflamed and that's why my pants were tight. My right thumb gave it away... Oh and I had to use a mug and my nose to take this picture. I applaud my own ingenuity!

I have a flare if I eat too much sugar or candy. Hope you feel better soon!

Your ingenuity with the thumb selfie is to be commended!! :-)

Oh, Jane, I’m sorry. But you’re probably right.
I, too, applaud your ingenuity!

Jane, You are so clever! Hope you improve quickly!!

Jane, what IS it about those Cadbury Mini Eggs ???They are the devil ! I have already consumed a fair share this season.

So sorry to hear it is a bad time for you. I am an inflamation mess right now. Sometimes the change in seasons makes me flare. I am feeling swolen all over, but the worst part for me is my eyes. They are so sore and feel gritty. Who knew arthritis affected the eyes so much.

I was feeling good on Monday and Tuesday (we had sunshine), so yesterday I decided to work in the garden and then go out to lunch. BIG mistake. My right hand and a few fingers swelled like a balloon. I think I overdid it with the spade and the clippers. Then of course I had a bit too much salt at lunch (Applebees pretzels and cheese)...OMG, so good. I am paying for it today though. It is scary how regular activity and a treat can be so difficult for us.

The lack of sleep never helps, does it. Here’s to hoping that this dies down quickly. And nice job on the pic.

You don't do the mini cadburrys, you do the great big ooey gooey ones.Eat a couple-three of them and you turn green everytime you see them until next easter. Saves thousands of calories AND clothing expense

Sounds like you are a conny-soor, Lamb! ROFL

I started a flare last week too. Swollen/painful hands, feet, back, and assorted other joints with fatigue. It happens every early spring. Did my week of prednisone 10 mg and now down to 5. Doing great now! And yes, this is ON Remicade. So thankful for my meds! God is good.

Wow on the photography pose for the wonder thumb Jane, good job that girl. Hoping your thumb shrinks down a bit…I prescribe more Cadburys mini OR Cream Eggs (mmmmmmmmm!) Of course none of these pass my lips as I’m a good diabetic and don’t partake ;)(yeah right! That’s why I have an empty 6 Cadbury cream egg box hidden in my filing cabinet!)

I went out yesterday and bought mini eggs because of this thread. It's a good thing they only make their appearance once a year ! Jane, I hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks everyone. I find it hilarious that we all find those Cadbury mini eggs and creme eggs irresistible. Gave myself a Humira shot last night and I'm off the prednisone now (did a short burst at the end of last week). The sun us shining and I didn't need a coat this morning.

Peace and chocolate, y'all!

Cadbury’s has a good thing going. I say, support those Cadbury shareholders! LOL Myself, I’m not allowed to buy the eggs cuz if I do … well, you know the rest of the story. Thanks for the fun, Jane! Hope the Humira works a treat for you.

Seenie, they sell bags in 10oz and 18oz. the 10oz packets are way too small and make me fell bad about myself as I can finish a bag in an hour or so. At least with the 18oz packets I can make myself take two days to eat them. And YES, that's a lot of calories. Whatevs!!

I've resisted the creme eggs so far but all this choccy talk is giving me the munchies :-)

All this talk is making me want things that are going to make me HURT! ...cadbury creme eggs, ben & jerry's chunky monkey & cherry garcia ice cream, marshmallow peeps, etc.!

I love that we all have sweet tooth's and great sense of humor. This entire thread has made me smile all week, so thank you to all that have contributed. I hope everyone has a painless and joyful Easter!!! Remember to brush and floss!!!!!!

Wow! So sorry for your pain but great pic! And you must be quite talented to pull off that shot! :)

Seriously....the pic helps us newbies realize what norm vs real swelling looks like! Thanks for sharing...
