I know I’m lucky. Really, really lucky. Because my Humira has me almost in remission on joints, tummy, and P, and I’ve had to delay it for a few days, and just few days had me feeling lousy.
I’m also having a lovely holiday in indonesia - so triple lucky!
But the reason I delayed my shot was multiple tummy bugs, and finally feeling ok this morning, I took it and 6 hours later am squirming with cramps again.
I know I’ll be fine, but sometimes I wish for when things were a bit simpler…
Sorry to hear that, Jen, and hope you're feeling better again soon and enjoy the rest of your holiday.
My husband has Crohns and travels alot worldwide, much to the horror of his specialist nurse, but she has just recommended a medical grade probiotic VSL#3. We've not got any yet as his upcoming trip is to Perth so don't have the same concerns as we have about the Far East. Might be worth a look for you for future trips if your tum is delicate.
Thanks so much for that info Jules, i really appreciate it and will follow it up, as my delicate tum is suspected IBD (probably Crohns too), but I was lucky to do a quick switch to Humira when i first got tummy-ill, which helps in keeping it under control, but meant we didn’t really do a formal diagnosis (as you would know, if there’s anything as challenging to diagnose as PsA, its IBD!)
I travel a lot in Africa too, (and have problems there as well), but usually shorter duration so its not one after the other!
If your husband has any other tips I’d be happy to hear
