Reynaud's disease

Got an additional diagnosis of Reynaud's this morning, curious if other PSA sufferers are affected by this disorder also. Just what I need, another thing that hurts and feels funny....poohaw...

Sjogrens is not really uncommon SK and several others here have that. I know it is related to Raynauds but I'm not clear on the connection between those two.....

I've had Reynaud's since I was a kid. The funny thing is, since I've been on a DMARD, it is less of a problem overall. I still have it, but it is less of a day to day issue. Plus I finally got smart and throw on gloves if I need to dig around in the freezer for more than a moment, and wear awesome toasty shoes.

I actually got frostbite a few years ago on my toe due to the Reynaud's, so it's something to be aware of.

My newest thing is probably rosacea. It's not too uncommon to have multiple diagnoses. . . Your immune system isn't functioning, so it may misfunction in multiple ways.

Yep Have PSA and was diagnosed with Raynauds late teens... ALWAYS cold, feet are ALWAYS purple, hands go numb easy and so does nose. We also found out it affects nursing as well... I live in Canada ( northern) So I live in down jackets and heating blankets are my new best friend ;)

I was dxed with Reynaud’s recently also. I have had it for as long as I can remember, just now has a name.

If you need help with some guidance on nursing, contact your local La Leche League, or look online at their site, http://www.llli.org/

The main idea is to keep warm, but you probably already know that. You can also use gingko biloba as a supplement, and it can be helpful.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My hubby bless his heart is a sweater and I am always cold. Hate that I have a new disorder, but feel better knowing it has a name and that I'm not fixing to have a stroke. It is affecting my hands the worse.

The up side is (if there is one) if you try the antibiotic cure for PsA (I don't recommend it) as you turn blue, your hands and feet will match......

Thanks for the giggle Mr. Moderator...lol, don't find alot to laugh at these days!

My nose gets so cold, even in the summer that my husband and I joke that I need a nose mitten. It took a long time for me to figure out that it was Raynauds. Other than the cold I don’t really have other symptoms with the Raynauds. I just wish I could figure out what triggers it.
