Re enthesitis

Does anyone have bright red burning back of the ankles, NOT, the soles of your feet? You can't ice it as it is painful to the touch. It's hard to sleep as I have to sleep on my back due to hip bursitis, so the ankles leaning on the mattress. any suggestions. By the way the nausea subsided with the stelara. Now I'm praying it will work. Otherwise my next option is to wait for approval of Interlocken 17 injections.

Sounds like it could be your Achilles tendons. Only solution I've found to keeping my heels off the mattress at night is to lay a pillow lengthwise beneath my legs so my ankles/feet are held off the mattress by the pillow. I also fill a bucket with cold water and ice and soak my foot for a couple of minutes if I can't bear to touch the tender area.

Good news that the nausea has eased. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi NEL, hope you were able to try this last night and have got a better nights sleep. Just to add that the pillow also helps with my knee, hip and SI pain :)
