Hi, the new Rheumy said 90% chance I have PsA when I asked him what diagnosis he was giving me. That was after 45 minutes of his presentation about going Vegan. No animal products in my diet at all! When I got home the pharmacy said the insurance denied payment! Soooo, did he give me an efin diagnosis or not?! I am just soooo frustrated with all of this shit!!!
Um, if a vegan diet fixed autoimmune diseases WE WOULD ALL BE DOING IT! and the rheumy would be out of a job.
This doc sounds like a QUACK. I'd run to another, and honestly if he spent 45 minutes presenting about the vegan diet I would report him to the state medical board for not doing his job (rheumatologist vs. dietitian!)
This is the 4th one already. I can’t believe my family Doc sent me to this guy. I’m about ready to fire him too. But then I’d have to start ALL over again.
That doesn't even make sense. Marietta may have a good idea there, to report him to the state medical board.
There are a few reasons why the medication may have been denied by your insurance. But if he gave you no diagnosis, this would definitely be one. Is there a university center or anything of the sort in your area that you can try?
Okay, I made an assumption and got all upset b/c I was all upset about PsA. The Doc. did give me the diagnosis and the pharmacy resubmitted it and it went through. What’s the saying? I made an a@& out of me by by assuming… Just so stressed.
Doesn't mean he is not a quack. He is laying on VALUES not medical information. it would make as much sense to have him tell you to strip naked paint your self blue and dance under every full moon while licking frog scum. (BTW if it would work I would do it.) There is absolutely NOTHING natural about a vegan diet. Like it or not we are carnivore apes. Eliminate a major part of diet and other problems will follow. (otherwise they wouldn't give you a list of supplements to take.) Near as I can recall, there were no GNC's depicted on an cave paintings.
I'm with Lamb. . . Doesn't mean he's not a quack. When we're stressed and upset, we can jump to conclusions. Glad the medication was approved.
