Does anyone know of an excellent doctor in the NYC or Philadelphia area?
I do not know any doctors in your area but here is a link that may help you find one.

I've had a difficult time in the Washington, DC area to find a good rheumatologist. I really like my new doc in Wheaton, MD - the practice has 15 doctors in 4 locations in Maryland and DC they own an infusion center. Perhaps you could find a good doc maybe not so close, to get started and then look for a maintenance doc? Just a thought. I will call my rheumy's office tomorrow, they might have a good recommendation.

He's my 4th rheumatologist and I'm glad I've been picky !
Hi Mom5932,
Thought this might be helpful if you haven't seen it already: http://psoriasis.org/newly-diagnosed. Psoriasis.org also has a mentor program under the resources tab. They pair the patient with a veteran to offer support. Psoriasis.org just sponsored an event for patients in Philadelphia. The event and speakers' names are no longer on the site, but you could call and ask them for the name of the rheumy that provided a presentation - maybe he/she is good?
Mom, I have a wonderful doctor just outside the the Philadelphia area. Its listed on my profile. If you are looking for in the city University of Penn is a great hospital. I dont have any experience with them but hear nothing but good things. Good luck with your search.
