Medscape article

I've just read on Medscape (www.medscape.com) that Reuters Health have reported that people taking anti-TNF meds, such as Enbrel and Humira, for psoriasis were less likely to suffer heart attack than those treated with just topical treatments........Its thought that the meds lower body-wide inflammation as well as psoriasis and that reduces risk of heart disease. Those people treated with DMARDS, like MTX, cyclosporin and light therapy also seem to benefit from lower risk of heart disease......

So, we maybe putting our liver and kidneys at some disadvantage with these drugs but we may also be helping our hearts. See, every cloud has a silver lining, I think? :)
