The result of the rhuemmy is a 10 day steroid pack, I started on Wednesday. My feet are still aching. The problem is I have to return to work today, not sure I can withstand an eight hour shift on my feet. Trying to figure a way to go on disability and pay my mortgage, don’t think that’s going to happen! Buying a mega-millions tix today!
There does come a time for some of us to have to face up to whether we going to be able cope with our current employment or not. Then there is the mortgage and how to move forward with our lives with PSA. Here are som of my experiences. I spent a long time wondering what I might be able to do. I retrained. I changed my location so I did not have a mortgage. I went on Disability for a while, while I retrained. I worked from home and I was able to schedule appointments with breaks in between. There was a lot of help available in Australia where I live. The government does not want to pay for long term disability if they can get you back in employment and there is a lot of assistance available. I also needed to stand my ground and not be pushed into what I could not do. There was a constant battle to overcome the do gooders attitude of not believing me as I did not look sick. I have now retired and have other worries of whether I will have enough money to see me out. Hope this gives you something to consider for your future
I also meant to mention, check out what steroids can do to your body. On older posts or on the internet. There are some irreversible consequences, so do be careful as that in my opinion is only a very short sighted solution.
