Hi folks! I finally got my diagnosis after years of trying to piece together my symptoms. It's a relief mostly. I have had serious cervical degenerative disc disease for 20+ years. My newer arthritic symptoms started about 5 years ago. It took a while for my doctor to hear what I was telling him and finally get me to a rheumatologist. Now I am finding that other symptoms I have had that I attributed to other things may be from this condition. I look forward to learning from you all and developing skills to manage this within the context of my very busy life.
Hello Sassygrl and welcome,
Good to hear you’ve got a diagnosis, hope you get some relief soon
Welcome. I hope that your rheumatologist listens to you.
You’re on the right track. Do study up on PsA and the possible therapies before you get to the rheumatologist’s. That way, you’ll be in a good position to make informed decisions about your care. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
Hi there and welcome. These guys are an amazing support. They are great when you just need to rant and an incredible resource when you have queries. Your story would be pretty much the same as most people here too. Just know that here you are amongst friends who know exactly how you feel.
Thank you everyone!
Thank you Anna!
