Is a TENS machine a good buy?

Byrd Feeder, its amazing! Biggest test was a heavy shift yesterday, SI woke me early and although I walked the worst of it off I knew I was in for a bad day, because, I don’t think its safe for me to do patient care, drug rounds etc whilst taking strong pain meds. I varied the settings and had a fairly good day …I would say its the best £30 I’ve spent recently! x

I was hoping it would work this well for you! I always thought it was a great tool for use at work, where I can't afford to be drowsy. Once I began using mine, I began to notice those little wires hanging from the pockets of a few colleagues.

I certainly understand your reluctance to take pain meds while doing something that requires a good amount of attention, like passing meds or performing procedures. I'd also like to say brava' to you for being so conscientious!

Ah thank you, but its because I was brought up to do my best…can’t let my patients down by not being focused on them, they spur me on

Louise, can you tell me the brand of the machine you like ? I am desperate for some relief

I use an Empi

Hi, mimiB,
Mines a Tens MED, says med fit on the cover and inside is a sticker with www.TensMachines.co.uk.
Started taking mine into work again as SI is starting to kick off again…hope you get some relief soon x

I got one from my aunts work to use on my neck and shoulder. I’m glad I got it. The days where the pain is bad I will use it several times during the day. I love it and my husband loves it too. It will help hi, when he throws his back out

I have an Empi, very good machine.

Thanks, everyone ! I will check some machines out.
