How do you deal with friends who don't understand what PsA is?

I was wondering how you deal with the frustration of your friends not understanding what PsA is. More importantly why they don't understand how life altering the disease is? I have friends who know that I have PsA but act like ya so you have arthritis it happens, and shrug it off. I am dealing with something serious here and they don't seem to get it. Not to mention i have to mention the Embrel commercial with Phil Mickleson and compare it to Rheumatoid arthritis each time for them to have any clue what PsA is, and thy still don't fully get it. So you don't exactly know what PsA is but that does not mean that you have to act like nothing is really wrong; that if I just rest that tomorrow I will be like nothing was ever wrong. What do i do for my own peace of mind? I know that they can't understand, but at least acknowledge that have a debilitating disease. It's as if they don't want to talk about it. Any helpful suggestions would be great.

Thank You sooo much for sharing this! this is exactly what I was talking about. This really helps. You don't want to get upset but at the same time you wish that they got it. I will show this to some of my close friends one of them has a thyroid disorder so I think she will relate more. But this is a great way to describe the sometimes indescribable struggles with having an auto immune joint disorder. Again thank you so much and thank you to the person who created it Tiffany. :)
