Hi I’m new!

Hi I’m just wondering if symptoms get worse when you’re really tired.
Looking after a poorly horse at the moment and by the end of the day I’m so tired I’m in so much pain I can hardly move!!!

Yes, symptoms get much worse when you’re feeling very tired!

Some relatives of mine had the opportunity to house-sit for people they didn’t know, in Spain, and jumped at the chance. When they arrived they found that they were expected to look after two horses, two enormous dogs and a load of chickens. I reckon my symptoms got worse just hearing about all that so I can’t imagine what a real and poorly horse would do to me! I hope he or she gets better soon!

Seriously, take some time out if at all possible. Or at least try to do some tasks kind of in slow motion, it has taken me over 6 years to work out that doing things slowly lessens pain. It’s boring but it works for me anyway. Glad you’ve joined us, welcome!!

Thank you. That sounds like good advice I think I do need to slow down a bit!
He (Popeye) is getting better slowly. My daughters horse but she’s working so doesn’t get to look after him as much as she would like to x

I think it is all related. If I get tired, I hurt more. If I hurt more, I get tired.

I try and get plenty of sleep now, more than I used to get. By the end of the week, I am pretty tired and will sleep late on the weekends. It seems to help me recharge my batteries.

Hey minismum! Nice to meet you but sorry for the reason.
I’ve found that the more pain I’m in, the more tired I am and vice versa. It’s a vicious cycle really.
I’m thankful my children are grown because I don’t know how ones with children at home do it. I used to could go on a few hours of sleep but not any and if I took a nap during the day, I’d be awake until way past my bedtime. But all that has changed drastically.
Naps are our friend! I agree that you need to make time for your own well being. “Me” time is priceless!
Hope you’re feeling better and doing better soon.
