Hi All

Hi Everyone,

First all I want to say thanks for the answers and PM's to my post, just sorry have not been here since. As it happens my arthritis has decided to become more active, requiring further bloods, hospital appts etc with the latest this week just gone.

Anyways it was on Thursday after school, yes I have went back to work although hard nice to have some routine even though on Thursday gone could easily have stayed home so sore, swollen knees, elbows, etc, nausea, etc etc.

Day went good in work all things considered as did my appt afterwards...physio hard but doable, meds too early to say but def alot of activity but to my horror on my way out I was driving along and when stopped at lights got hit from behind, I went into complete shock and taking from car on spinal board.

What I am getting at so much worse now, hearing bang, nausea more pain, more swelling, headache, not sleeping etc.....what to do? So worried and stressed.

Advice appreciated X

First of all - call a vehicle injury lawyer. Speaking from experience, they will handle all of the paperwork with the doctors, hospital, insurance, etc. They will also acquire more $$ for you while they pursue your claim but they get 1/3 of the $$ collected. You won't make money at this so you aren't doing it for that reason. You do it so you don't have to deal with the stress of it. That will help the most at this point. We have all heard this...stress makes PsA worse.

Meanwhile, since someone else would be handling the paperwork, you can rest and heal. It always hurts more the days following an accident so know that this is expected.

I was hit head on...and survived pretty well intact, but the soft-tissue damage took weeks to heal. If you can do it - acupuncture was a big help to me for the weeks following the accident.

Best of luck to you.
