Happy new year and a quick update

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!
I hope everyone got to enjoy their evening
We stayed in this year, it was nice just to relax at home.

I’m still waiting for my rheumy appointment. I had called in November and the administrator said she would get me in before Christmas. When I called mid December she said late February to early March. Thinking about it, quite frankly, I don’t even care as much anymore.
Every time I have called she has said my appointment would be later…wonder if it will ever come?

The first rheumy I was referred to said she couldn’t take me because it would be a 9 month wait, the second 1 to 2 years and this one, apparently 7 months… But who really knows when I will get in?

I can’t wait any longer, I am busy and I need to focus on school and my life.
I was at the doctors so much for the last 2 years I’m just tired of it.
So I’ve just been dealing with the pain, just trying to ignore it the best I can. I know it sounds a little defeatist, but I feel better just putting it on the back burner in my mind for awhile. I’m used to the pain I can deal with it.

And for something a little lighter…

For New Years I am making the resolution to get super super organized!!! So exciting isn’t it??? LOL

Hang in there honey, you are going to make it. It is hard waiting . You can do this thing! You are strong in spirit, just crappy in body right now. Remember what you really need more than anything in the world is sunshine. WE all tend to forget that in our search for help. If your psoriasis is showing, ask your Derm for some light therapy. It will help you cope and make you feel better,
In the meantime, call that lady every day, two or three times if necessary until she does her job. There are no excuses for excuses and you have to fight for your rights as a patient. Go to the office and bug her in person if possible. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Happy New year… it will be good, because you have friends to hold you up when you can not do it yourself…
XXXXXXXXXXXX

If you really need a live voice send me an message and we can arrange a phone conversation if you like.

Good strategy, Meg! But a word of advice: when you finally get to the rheumy’s, don’t downplay your pain and how it affects your life. At that point you need to be brutally, graphically honest.
Good luck on the re-start of school! happy new year.
