Eye pain and drainage?

Ive been experiencing some eye pain and discomfort in both my eyes and some drainage but not red or pink ... I dont see my rhemy till next month just wondering if i should call him about this right away?

Yes, call. However he is likley to refer you to an opthhamologist. MAKE SURE itsd one who can do a slit lamp exam preferably MD who is familiar with PsA/Uveitis/Iritis. This is potentially a very serious complication.

Thank you very much!

I have been having a few issues with my eyes!! Not being able to see 32" TV from only a few feet away

PsA can affect the eyes. This can be very serious. DO NOT WAIT or mess around waiting for it to clear up. Go see an ophthalmologist.

I almost went blind in both eyes from complications of PsA. Only lost one eye though.

Ty Marietta. I will call and make an appt on Monday... I had just seen my optometrist just a couple of months ago all she said , was I had the beginning of a cataract in my left eye

I must chime in here....YES! :) You only get two eyes. Even if this isn't Uveitis/Iritis, but is only conjunctivitis (pink eye), it is still critical that it is seen and treated in order to avoid serious complications later on down the road (complications like blindness and infertility). Keep in mind that those of us with autoimmune disorders are taking lots of medications that suppress the immune system so even a mild infection can get out of control very quickly. Good luck, and please let us know how things are going for you.

I saw an ophthalmologist due to eye issues. I thought I had allergies to our dog...turns out I was having inflammation in my eyes. My eye ducts would clog up and I'd wake in the morning with a ton of sleep...looking like pink eye, also irritated itchy eyes. Since I started treating my PSA the eye issues have decreased. I have noticed I need reading glasses now...that may be in part due to age :-)

My sister was recently diagnosed with PSA and has been having eye issues. I told her to get in and see an eye doctor. She did and is now being sent to a specialist as she has bumps on her eyes and they believe it may be the start of glaucoma . Eye issues tend to be common with PSA and something that certainly needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
