Enbrel is no longer working

I did not want Enbrel to fail me

I had high hopes.

I stayed away from the group to avoid inadvertent reading of tales where Enbrel had failed. I really wanted it to work well, and me to have a fair chance at things.

Starting in October, I began to notice a decline. Maybe I was overdoing things I thought. Perhaps the respiratory virus was at fault. Starting in December I knew I'd have to move my rhuematology visit up since I was not scheduled to follow-up until March. I saw the rhuemy on 1/11/13 and he put in an order for Humira.

I'm not sure when it will come and inevitably there were the many phone calls to insurance and specialty pharmacies to check on status and make sure I received it soon, and in the correct form. Of course they forgot that I use a pre-loaded hypodermic, not the pre-loaded pen. I like the control of the self-injections and am experienced since my son has type one diabetes. Needles don't scare me....spring-action torture devices though do!

We'll see what Humira brings.

I'm not asking to be pain free. I would just love to have some energy and not feel like I'm coming down with flu constantly. If I did not have the low grade fevers and fatigue, it would be easier to be active.

I guess time will tell.

Hello, I'm bored and surfing the site....That's too bad Enbrel quit on you. I've been using it for 10+ years and it still works. I'm the same way with the sure-click. I've had to get some samples here-and-there from my doctors over the years and THEY SUCK! I'll still use them if I have to but, I think they should be illegal! I honestly don't know why anyone would ever use them?!

Anyway, hello and goodbye
