(1) iCool weekender medicine travel bag - am on pre-filled etanercept syringes and wondered if anyone had used this product with them? looks like might get one pre-filled syringe in, but with the curve of the case wondered if a second would fit? So if anyone has one and used it would be grateful for any comments on carrying capacity for prefilled syringes.
(2) iCool Prestige medicine travel bag - this looks like it might take more prefilled syringes but again not sure if the pre-filled etanercept fits.
Would welcome any thoughts from people who have experience with either of these products. I know there are other options for travelling and people utilise cooling agents and lunch boxes, but I may have to do frequent trips rather than an occasional flight, but am keen to hear about how good these specific products are with pre-filled syringes.
I wonder if that is also the case for the UK and those receiving their medicine free through the NHS. I did get a letter re transporting the drug at airports to show to anyone that the medicine is needed from the delivery company Healthcare at Home that the NHS uses in my area to deliver the medicine to my home. They knew I was going to fly regularly but did not offer anything else. Anyone from the UK had the free travel pack from Enbrel and if so how did they go about getting it?
The other advantage with the Enbrel Kit is I have frequently traveled internationally with it. and I have NEVER been questioned There is even a place for the "documents". With my old igloo however................
I think this number will be able to direct you: +44 (0)1223 436441 at least that's what the rep told me when I called him(hes in my brewers club)
Enbrel is now saying that their meds can be kept at room temperatures for 60 days. That said, I travel with mine in an insulated container, and pop it into the bar fridge when I can. Never had a problem with security.
Its not 60 days . It is only 14. I've taken trips and checked with them more than just twice. It scared me too!!! Seenie said:

Certainly in Australia, where we have a system similar to the nhs, Enbrel has an office and sends out their travel fridge kits -google Enbrel UK or Enbrel London maybe? Go Humira I registered through their website.
And Enbrel in Australia said 28 days at room temp last time I asked them about 1.5 years ago (and trust me, i does last 21 days - where i travel it takes so long even the fridge kits only keep tgem cool, not at 4deg). Like Seenie though, I always carry my biologics in the fridge pack and put them in a fridge when a available.
