Today has been a long and exhaustive one. Went to see the rheumy and FINALLY have my Remicade infusion set up for Monday. In the meantime I am getting to increase my prednisone, switch from percocet to higher strength vicoden, get to take zoloft again and get to go see a therapist since I have not been dealing with the stress of the pain and disease well. I'm exhausted but happy that at least my infusion is set up and I am on my way to some relief. Crying everyday is not working for me anymore. I look forward to Monday and will let all of you know how it goes. :)
I am with you. I am wiped out as well. Every single joint is tender and painful. I cannot get enough ice, heat stretching, etc. I am tired of always focusing on this condition but shoot it controls you. I am going to the hand specialist tomorrow to talk about my wrist and fingers. Probably will say surgery. Let’s see that would mean hand surgery, shoulder surgery, knee and hip surgery are all in the picture. Maybe I will become the six million dollar women like Lindsey Wagner!
Truthfully, I hope that my new rhumey will take pity in me and start the process to get me approved for the new drugs they have to help this condition. I really believe once I find the correct one some of this feelings will go way. All I can do now is hope.
I have a son playing football for an SEC team, another one playing varsity FB and one a swimmer. I really do not want miss their events.
It is hard for me right now because one year ago I was that mom who could it all and now I am totally depended on people because my body has failed me!!!

I hear you about the speed at which life can change, especially if you were active just a short time ago. May your Remicade work wonders for you. I just got my Enbrel and gave myself a dose on Friday. Let's hope and pray that this stuff works for us.

Very tired from the Remicade but overall my pain is better already, 4 days. It’s been like a miracle drug. I got back on the 20th and am just so overjoyed with the chance that this might work. How have you been?
