Hey folks:
I've noticed an inability to sleep somewhat flat because right where my hips become my thighs sort of "pulls"/hurt when I try to lay that way.
I'm fine (mostly) when I'm on my left side (never been a right side sleeper--it doesn't feel "right") with a pillow at my knees. But even then, the pillow can't be too "tall" or else that same area "pulls"/hurts.
I've been off my Methotrexate/Humira combination lately, between two rounds of antibiotics for bronchitis and now, a crown and gum therapy. It was a whole lot worse when I was beginning MTX and has gradually become less, even without my normal med dosage.
I can relieve the pain with some baby aspirin (honest-to-God), heat and maybe 1 mg of Xanaflex--muscle relaxer--if it's really bad.
Any thoughts?
Sounds reasonable to have this happen while you are off your meds. I get this sometimes and use a pillow too.
Have you been checked for osteo in your hips?
I haven't slept flat for 10 years.... I use wedge pillow only. Eliminates the problem you described as well as pain in my neck and a nasty headache. Such a pillow has certain OTHER advantages and can be purchased at BBB now as opposed to certain specialty retailers with drawn curtains.
That's awesome! Thanks for the laugh.
And good to keep the wedge pillow in mind as well.

I am a side sleeper and my hips pull all the time. My hips and hands are my two biggest problems, I’ve found that just keeping a pillow between my knees does help, but I also have a sleep number bed and oh man, I couldn’t live without it! Lol. I also have to ‘hug’ a pillow at night too or my shoulders/sternum really bothers me the next day. I hope you get to feeling better
