LOL - You hit the nail on the head! My husband was wondering why I was in MORE pain when my horrible inflammation went down after my last Remicade infusion and I told him the inflammation was what was holding me together, and my body isn't used to all this range-of-motion stuff. LOL

So how come my neck hurts worse now that I know I have herniated discs than it did before I knew. Maybe cause I am spending a lot of time trying to sit straight and have good posture. My body is not used to that. lol.
Well Guess this is my final update on this discussion. I'm in Physical Therapy for kyphosis and spinal spondylosis, but doctors don't know if that is what caused my weak arms. Guess I'll probably never know for sure.
I just visited my rheumy yesterday. He told me he didn't know for sure on me either, but was thinking it was postural. He said PT or going to Tai Chi classes regularly, my choice. I chose Tai Chi, but he said if he saw no improvement, then PT and no fussing about it! :)

You could be right smitty. That is where they are seeing problems and having me do exercises to help.

what you describe sounds like nerves to me. the Brachial plexus..starts at your neck (C-5,C-6)..goes across both shoulders and down to feed arms, hands. inflammation of surrounding tissue will cause the nerves to become impinged and you will get tinlgey, numb feeling.
I had a crazy thing happen yesterday. Was working out on the elliptical trainer here at the hotel and three toes on my right foot went numb and tingling. I had no circulation in them. Once I stopped they went back to normal. Also I have woken up in the night a few times now with an arm again numb and tingling or fell asleep(lack of circulation ).
